Retailing is the largest private sector industry in the world economy with global size exceeding $ 6.6 triillion. Most of the retail in India is in unorganized sector. The organized retail market is expected to grow by 20% to 25% on YOY basis, generating about 10% of GDP. It will be the largest source of employment after agriculture and industries. The liberalization policy of the government has opened retail market for MNCs such as Wal-mart, Tesco, etc. which will make this sector more attractive and competitive. Keeping this in mind Poona Institute of Management Sciences & Entrepreneurship (PIMSE) is organizing a National Seminar on “RETAIL STRATEGIES FOR EMERGING MARKETS.”

Invitation for Papers:

Original Papers or case studies on the above mentioned theme are invited from academic scholars, practicing professionals and industry officials. The word limit of paper is up to 4000 words. The paper must be typed in 12 pt fonts in Times New Roman with 1.5 lines space. Synopsis should have a limit of two paragraphs.
